“I’m not on facebook so am unable to leave a review but would just like to thank you personally. I have to say I found your class at Barton Grange extremely useful and informative and I was glad I had attended. I had actually misread the ad and booked by mistake(!) I had thought it was a first aid class when treating adults, not one specifically designed around treating babies and young children, but as I had already paid for it, decided to come along . . . I am so glad I did. As I do not have children nor have been involved with baby sitting, etc., I would have been clueless in an emergency situation concerning the little people but after attending the class, feel more confident. I felt your class was just perfect – covered the basics, was to the point, and removed the scarry notions when applying CPR. Also the updated information and tips on nose bleeds, burns, numbers to dial in emergencies, etc., was good to have. Thank you once again for running an excellent class, I will certainly recommend the class to family and friends.”
I cannot recommend Mini First Aid enough. Kate ran a private class for me and my 11 year old daughter in the comfort of our own home, which was perfect especially as my babies are due any day now. My daughter and I feel much more confident in knowing what to do in a range of emergency situations and I also got some extra twin tips from Kate as a fellow twin Mum! It's such an important life skill that every parent and carer should have so I would urge you to book a Mini First Aid course today.
Great class and very helpful. Covers a lot of topics.
There are a gazillion things I never seem to get around to doing (fixing the broken blind in our bedroom, getting some photos printed of ‘the baby’ who is almost two but still doesn’t exist on our walls, pinning down the coffee date I’ve been promising my neglected friend via WhatsApp for at least 6 months…) BUT this morning I finally got my arse in gear and ticked off something from my ‘Really Must Do’ list by attending a First Aid class designed specifically for parents, grandparents and carers of babies and young children. It took just two hours out of my morning and covered a whole host of stuff including what to do if a child is choking, how to deal with burns/breaks/bleeding and the basics of life-saving CPR for kids.
It was a pleasure meeting Kate and Jacky from Mini First Aid and being taught what to do in case of an emergency. Learning CPR and what to do when a child is choking is invaluable. Obviously, I hope I never had to use the things I learned in today’s class, but horrible things happen and knowing these techniques can really make a huge difference. The class was fun and accessible given the seriousness of the topic. I would highly recommend everyone doing it.
Thanks very much for last night – we all found it very useful. The session certainly taught me plenty and will be invaluable should I ever need to use the first aid knowledge.
The Mini First Aid Class (filmed for ITVBe) was a fantastic class, both Arg and I found it a really good and informative session
The Junior and Infant children at Rossall School attended a Mini First Aid course recently, where they enjoyed developing their knowledge and understanding of what to do when accidents happen. The children were able to understand the basic principles of first aid from ABC to cuts and burns, and were thoroughly engaged throughout the activities. It has been remarkable how often the children have talked about what they learnt since the workshop, and the Reception children have even brought their learning into role play. We thank Mini First Aid for coming and look forward to seeing you again soon.
